Ngabal – translation

Yaama John,

I have been asked for translation to Yuwaalaraay of:

“We (Aboriginal people) are with you. We have always been here. Come. Walk with us.” Would appreciate your help.

Maayubaa nginda. Maayu yanaaya. [Thank you, go well; JG]

Some possible translations and discussion are in the attached doc.

The blog a few days ago, about dhinggaa/meats and totems, was in response to a question from Abie Wright.

Maaru yananga/maayu yanaaya, John Giacon
